Individual
Psychotherapy
Individual Psychotherapy strives to assist clients with different mental health difficulties. An initial session occurs at the start of treatment. Clients and their therapist will begin to establish a relationship and identify treatment goals. As the relationship develops, clients and the therapist will work together to create a treatment plan that will outline action steps towards accomplishing goals. Action steps may include developing and increasing coping methods, processing difficult issues, and additional therapeutic techniques that will benefit the client. Sessions typically range from 45 minutes to an hour in length; they may go longer if in crisis. The frequency of sessions and the length of treatment varies on a case by case basis.
